Heartworms in Dogs

When your cat is bitten by a mosquito, the larvae that mosquito carries will be transferred to the cat’s bloodstream therefore keeping it there and become a heartworm if not cured.

Heartworms can cause inflammation and fluid build up in the lungs of your cat. It causes allergic reactions and sometimes sudden death. Cats who suffer from the disease may or may not show any symptoms that’s why it is hard to determine. The common symptoms of heartworm in cats are coughing and vomiting.
